Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy

1. Introduction

Bitexia is committed to preventing the use of our platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. This AML/KYC Policy outlines our procedures for customer identification, verification, and ongoing monitoring.

2. Customer Identification Program

2.1. Identity Verification Requirements

All users must complete identity verification before accessing full platform features. Required documents include:

• Government-issued photo identification (passport, national ID, or driver’s license);

• Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or government correspondence dated within 3 months);

• Selfie or live photo for facial verification;

• Additional documents as may be requested.

2.2. Enhanced Due Diligence

Additional verification may be required for:

• High-value transactions;

• Users from high-risk jurisdictions;

• Politically exposed persons (PEPs);

• Accounts flagged for suspicious activity;

• Any user at Bitexia’s discretion.

3. Source of Funds Verification

3.1. Bitexia reserves the absolute right to request documentation verifying the source of funds at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice.

3.2. Acceptable source of funds documentation may include:

• Bank statements;

• Employment contracts or pay slips;

• Tax returns;

• Sale of property or assets documentation;

• Inheritance documentation;

• Investment or trading records;

• Any other documentation proving legitimate origin of funds.

3.3. Failure to Provide Source of Funds

If you fail to provide satisfactory documentation regarding the source of funds within the timeframe specified:

• Your account will be immediately suspended;

• All withdrawals will be blocked;

• Your account may be permanently terminated;

• Funds may be frozen indefinitely;

• Information may be reported to relevant authorities;

• Bitexia shall not be liable for any losses resulting from such actions.

4. Transaction Monitoring

4.1. We continuously monitor all transactions for suspicious activity.

4.2. Transactions that may trigger review include:

• Large or unusual transactions;

• Rapid movement of funds;

• Transactions with no apparent business purpose;

• Transactions involving high-risk jurisdictions;

• Patterns consistent with money laundering or fraud.

4.3. We reserve the right to delay, suspend, or refuse any transaction pending investigation.

5. Reporting to Authorities

5.1. Bitexia will report suspicious activities to relevant law enforcement and regulatory authorities as required by law or at our discretion.

5.2. We will fully cooperate with any investigation by providing requested information, including but not limited to:

• User identification documents;

• Transaction records;

• Communication logs;

• IP addresses and device information;

• Any other relevant data.

5.3. You will not be notified of such reports or disclosures where prohibited by law or where notification could compromise an investigation.

6. Account Restrictions

Bitexia may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that:

• Fail to complete verification requirements;

• Fail to provide adequate source of funds documentation;

• Are associated with suspicious or potentially illegal activity;

• Violate this AML/KYC Policy or our Terms of Service;

• Are flagged by screening against sanctions lists;

• For any other reason deemed necessary by Bitexia.

7. Sanctions Compliance

Bitexia screens users against international sanctions lists including but not limited to OFAC, EU, and UN sanctions lists. Users from sanctioned countries or individuals on sanctions lists are prohibited from using our Platform.

8. Record Keeping

We maintain records of all customer identification documents and transaction data for a minimum of five (5) years or longer as required by applicable regulations.

9. Policy Updates

This AML/KYC Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
